Brideshead Revisited
Brideshead Revisited is an awesome movie that was under the direction of Julian Jarrold. It was written by Andrew Davies And Jeremy Brock, and based on the book by Evelyn Waugh.
The movie was inspired the excellent novel, BRIDESHEAD REVISITED. It is a edge-of-your-seat drama of power, love and ultimately betrayal. The best performance was delivered by Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson (who got the Best Actress award for HOWARDS END in 1992) and Matt Goode (who was also in the movie, THE LOOKOUT).
Charley Ryder is invited to the family grounds (think mansion with large, expansive grounds) of Sebastian Marchmain. Charles is drawn in and seduced by the opulent lifestyle and the hottie sister, Julia.
As their romance kicks off, some bad news starts brewing, and Charles quickly figures out that here, at Brideshead, power, love and money all come at a price.
It's a great story you'll want to watch more than once.
