Cliff Hilbert's 5.5#, 21" bass was caught on a chartreuse Peck's Popping Bug on a floating line. Using a 9', 6/7wt. St Croix rod.

This tight liner was taken at Purtis Creek State Park on Nov. 5.

Cliff Hilbert's latest state fly fishing record. It is a 7.26 lb, 26.5" bowfin I caught on my 8 1/2', 4wt. St. Croix Avid rod https://experience.tripster.ru/tours/russia/dagestan/weekend/ a chenille worm on 8-17-2004 at Lake Tyler. Talk about a fighting fish!

 

Cliff Hilbert's Redear Sunfish state record

Cliff Hilbert's Redear Sunfish is a new state record for private waters. The 1.3#, 11" long x 12" girth was caught on July 4 using a LSU Fly. Outfit was a 7', 3wt St. Croix Imperial with 4 WF line.

A friend of mine in Murchison, Gene Bethea (who went to the University of Arkansas), knows what an LSU fanatic I am (I'm from New Orleans and went to LSU), tied some purple and gold LSU flies for me (Clouser types). So a guy from New Orleans caught a Texas State Record redear on a LSU fly tied by an Arkansas Razorback.

Photographs sent by the US Postal Service MUST INCLUDE RETURN POSTAGE WITH A SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE for return by mail. Photographs can also be picked up at the club meeting. Items must be received by the Webmaster on or before the last Tuesday of each month.

 

HOW TO MAKE YOU PHOTOS INTERNET READY

Step 1
Scan your photo at 300 dpi

Step 2
Resample photo to 72 dpi
(The size should be 600 pixels or less for height/width!)

Step 3
Set Color Mode/Color Depth to 8 or 24 Bit

Step 4
Export your photo in a .JPG (JPEG format)
Set the compression to 50%
